Hi, I'm Thomas. I was wondering whether anyone out there could give me some help with learning new words. I have trouble remembering new words, are there any tricks? Thanks in advance Thomas

Hey, same here. Never found it super easy, but what helps is when you stick notes with new vocabulary all around your house, like on the fridge and the door. Everytime you open the fridge say the word. Trust me it will sink in quicker than you think. You can then change the word every couple of days or so. You will see it helps. Put a list with words in your bathroom and look at them when you brush your teeth. Good luck! :P

namaskaar silas sahee hai. aise karne se aap aasaanee se hindhee paD sakthe haiM. Do you wonder what it was? It means - Silas is right- by doing so you can learn Hindi easily. :D Another way is to keep a blackboard and write a word and its Hindi equivalent on it. Keep it there for a couple of days until you learn it. Then you can change and go for another. :) Keep learning! aapkee Nikita

Pronunciation: I found using this website helped: http://www.avashy.com/hindiscripttutor.htm The order isn't the same English (Actually, English is the odd language, as it is different from most languages) In english you would say: I am going to school In hindi (and many other languages) you would say: I school going am (main skool ja raha huu) The verb goes at the end. It doesn't take long to get the hang of it

Hi Keyatta, I would like to reply to your question: And another question...is the Hindi sentence order is the same as English sentence order? Hindi word order is different from English word order. The most important difference is that the verb or verbal phrase almost always goes at the end of the sentence. In general Hindi word order follows the following pattern: Subject + Modifier/object + Verb)Verbal Phrase) My name Ram is. मेरा नाम राम है। meraa naam Ram hai. These tomatoes cheap are. ये टमाटर सस्ते हैं । Ye ṭamāṭar sastā hain. You how are? आप कैसी हैं ? Aap kaisee hain? (address to female) I hope this helps. John
