For example when someone says "degli innocenti", why do you use degli? I thought you only use degli when the word following it has an S+a consonant.

Ciao Michael, can you please write me the full the sentence ? In any case the article "gli" is used in front of nouns starting by : - gn as gli gnocchi - pn as gli pneumatici - ps as gli psicologi - s+ another consonant as gli spazzini - z as gli zoccoli -vowel as gli uomini I hope this helps Ciao :)
