I just got back from a vacation in Turks and Caicos. On my stay I met two brothers named Luigi and Mariano. They are my age and live in Naples. In order to communicate with them I needed to speak Italian to them. At first it was hard to pronounce the words, but as I spoke more I began to speak more confidently and fluently. Talking with Luigi and Mariano was a great way to put my Italian learning to use. They were impressed that I have only been studying Italian for under a year. I am going to continue my Italian studies and visit my friends in Italy. Thank you Rocket Italian!

However when Luigi and Mariano spoke it was too hard to understand them because the spoke so fast. I couldn't make out what they were saying. So they only spoke English and I only spoke Italian, so it was a learning experience for everyone!

This is a good idea too!!!! Pronunciation sometimes can slightly change from a city to another, even if it's same language so don't worry about it. I'm glad you enjoyed your Italian holiday in Turks and Caicos :) ciao
