"Questo pollo e` BUONO"..This chicken is GOOD. A common mistake is to use Bene instead of Buono. Bene is well. Buono is good Buono as in "buongiorno/buonanotte/buonasera. It is an adjective, and, in Italian has to agree in gender and number to the noun it refers to: "Pollo buono". Bene- well, is an adverb and does not change its form: " Sto bene"- I am well!. Va bene?

Hi, I also mix up "buono" and "bene" at times. However, I'm currently having even more problems with "meglio" and "migliore", and (analagously) "peggio" and "peggiore". I previously thought that "meglio" and "migliore" __both__ mean "better", with "meglio" simply being an adverb and "migliore" being an adjective. However in lesson 4.4 (The Opera), Maria stated it differently: bene = well meglio = better migliore = best male = bad peggio = worse peggiore = worst Please help. I'm confused! :?
