When do you use sapere opposed to conoscere?

Ciao Micheal,

You will need to use

-"sapere" as "to know how to do something" , "to be able to" .
Example:

-io so ballare (io know how to dance)

-"conoscere" as "to make the acquaintance of" or "to know" as

-io conosco Sara e Federico (I know Sara and Federico)
-io non conosco Roma (I don't know Rome)

I hope this helps
Ciao
