ciao Fran, the sentence "noi ci conosciamo da molto tempo" is translated as "we know each other for a long time". The sentence "we've known him for a long time" will be " noi lo conosciamo da molto tempo" and finally "loro si conoscono da molti anni" means "they've known each other for many years". E per chiedere "What was it like (Per esempio,. what was it like growing up there, was your other house like this one) ? What does or did it feel like? How did you feel about this, that?
