flashcard machine

I was looking for an online program where I could enter the words that I was having trouble with and create a flashcard. Stumbled on to this program where not only can I create my own flashcards but there are hundreds of flashcard sets in Italian created by other users that I can access. Very helpful and easy to use. No charge but they are soliciting donations.

I did take a look at the megacard games. They provide a similar function as the flashcard machine that I found. I still think that the ability for the student to create the flashcard set with specific words they are having trouble with is a strong feature that Rocket Italian would benefit from. With each new lesson, I begin by putting the words into my database of new words and run through them with both Italian word/translation and translation/Italian word until I get them memorized. At that point, I can flag the words I feel that I know to temporarily exclude them from the set. Can add them back at any time.

I think this would be a valuable addition to the Rocket Italian program and probably not too difficult for your programmers to implement.

Another feature that I find useful is a translator such as that offered by Google. I use it to run through the conjugation of verbs to see how the verb changes with different pronouns being used. Again, another feature that I think would be useful for all your students.

Anyway, I think your program is still fabulous as is. I have another month before my trip to Italy and can't wait to see how I do under fire.
