In the United States we have shows like Sesame Street and others that help you learn to sound out english words correctly. Is there any Japanese tv shows for children that help them learn to speak? I may be 36yrs old but I would sit down and watch childrens shows because they would speak with less intense words. If you know of any or were to purchase them please let me know. Thanks.

Konnichiwa! Well, for children's TV shows, there are:  TV cartoons (テレビアニメ-Terebi Anime) Here's some classic ones: *Doraemon* *Sazae-san* *Chibi Mariko-chan* *Crayon Shin-chan* But, if you don't want cartoons, there is a TV program called: *Okasan to issho* _"Together with mom"_ which is the longest running children's show in Japan!!! Still airing up to this day!! Another one: *Inai-Inai-Baa* (Japanese for Peek-a-boo) - some say..a Japanese version of _"Teletubbies"_ And there is: *Nihongo de Asobo* _"Play with Japanese"_\ This is a good one for learning Japanese! It's a show that teaches Japanese language- expressions, communication skills, traditional phrases...and such. It's quite cute! There is actually a series of this: *Nihongo de Asobo* _"Play with Japanese"_ *Karada de Asobo* _"Play with the body"_ *Eigo de Asobo* _"Play with English"_ All three a quite interesting and it's made for children so the Japanese is not difficult!! Great way to learn a language! Enjoy! :D

Let's get you talking in Japanese.

We love Japanese people and Japanese culture - from riveting anime and comforting ramen to the majestic Mt. Fuji and the breathtaking sights of Kyōto! And there's no better way to connect with them than by learning 日本語 (Japanese).
