Hi, if this question has been asked before, I apologize for the repetition. I can't seem to find a guide or recommendation for completion order of the lessons. Is there a suggested order for the most optimal way to take the lessons?
For example, I understand that I should go through the audio lessons up to 1.4, then do the culture lessons in section 1. But at what point do I work in the writing lessons? I noticed that in culture lesson 1.7, the quiz includes questions about Katakana. I haven't done any of the Katakana lessons yet, so at what point should I have worked those in? What about the survival kit lessons?

Lesson/Learning Order

Well, some of the quizez contain, don't know why, questions about things you haven't learned yet. There is no actual order in which to take the lessons, you can go through them as you want.
For example, when I learn, I learn 3 things in the same session. I start off with the audio lesson, then learn the language & culture part which corresponds to the audio lesson, after which I also go through the writing lesson that is on the same position with the other 2.
About the survival kit, well, I've always learned it at the end of the courses (premium, premium plus and platinum). Those are the last things I learn before continuing to the next level.

The lessons have been designed so you can work through them in the order that best suits you. They are grouped in topics and get progressively harder so it is advisable that you start at the earlier lessons and work your way upwards.
You can approach the writing lessons at any stage but as some of the quizzes will contain a mix of content you are probably best to do the quizzes last. The Survival Kit can be worked through any time you feel like a break or are searching for a particular word to add to your vocabulary.

In addition, I've found Quizlet.com to be a very helpful tool for building language flashcards. On an iPad, iPhone, or iTouch, you can also get the Flashcardlet app for free, which will sync up with Quizlet. There are also free apps for learning kana, and Kotoba!, a dictionary tool that lists English, Japanese, and Kanji results.

yes, very true. If you want to have a 50% boost from the start, then it's best that you learn Kana first of all, and then start the lessons here.
If you really want to learn the language, then learning kana shouldn't take more than 3-4 days (I learned it in one day for example).
