I am new to RL Japanese and was wandering if anyone could recommend any japanese voice chat sites. It's hard to learn when you dont use the language in real time situations, I've found myself merely repeating words to try and memorize them. If anyone else is new and would like someone to study and practice with I sure could use the help. domo arigato!

Skype is a wonderful resource. (Bear with me for a second I'll get to skype as soon as I explain this first) On Lang-8.com you can start your own blog in Japanese and have Japanese people correct your grammar. After a while you can ask them to chat with you on Skype and soon you'll have a list of Japanese friends on skype. This is what I use to practice my speaking. Most of the time they try to talk to me daily, although sometimes I'm busy and can't talk. Once I even talked with them for 7 hours, although it alternated between english and Japanese as everyone is still trying to learn and practice the language they are learning.

Let's get you talking in Japanese.

We love Japanese people and Japanese culture - from riveting anime and comforting ramen to the majestic Mt. Fuji and the breathtaking sights of Kyōto! And there's no better way to connect with them than by learning 日本語 (Japanese).
