ALL Japanese adjectives end in either *I *or *NA*, when placed before a noun.
There really isn't a clear-cut distinction between the two endings :?

how do we make the Na ones negative then since we cant take the i off and put kunai....or do i just add kunai to after the na anyway?

To make NA-type adjectives into negative, you drop the *NA *and add *DEWA NAI* for formal situations, and *JYA NAI* for informal.
For example:
__*KIREINA* __(Beautiful)
Kirei-JYA NAI (NOT beautiful)
or
Kirei-DEWA NAI

No, KUNAI does not have an informal counterpart, however,
if you wanted to say "I don't want to eat" you can say:
TabetaKUNAI DESU (formally)
or just
TabetaKUNAI! (informally) :shock:
