方法 from 10.2 At the Pharmacy

i am a little bit confuse on using Verb+方法. in the conversation yoshiko used 飲める方法  the gramma める is the ability right? so why does Kenny use 食べる方法(dict form)　instead of 食べられる方法　?

Kenny says 食べる方法, because he is saying "the way to eat".
When you say 食べられる方法, it means "the possible way to eat/the way to be eaten".
食べられる will make it a potential form of 食べる instead of just the verb 食べる "to drink".
