ni noborimasu or wo noborimasu

I can't understand the difference between 東京タワ　を　登る　and 東京タワ　に　登る

Having checked further it seems that we should use を with motion verbs But exceptions are for 登ります　and 　乗ります。 に登ります and に乗ります。 I saw written somewhere 東京タワーを登ります - ascend Tokyo Tower; and 東京タワに登りますました　- went up Tokyo Tower but couldn't work out the difference between the two.

Students studying Japanese often get confused with the use of を and に。 In your examples above: １）東京タワーを登ります。 The focus here is on climbing or ascending "Tokyo tower." For example, if you used it for Mt. Fuji the focus would be on climbing the 'tall' mountain. ２）東京タワーにのぼりました。 Here, the focus would be on having been to the place to climb ― in this case, Tokyo tower.　If you use it for Mt. Fuji (ふじ山に登りました。）the focus would be on having gone to Mt. Fuji as you used the particle 'に’ which is often used with places. Hope this helped to clarify things! Lisa
