Hello, Recently i have just been practicing reading and writing Hiragana and Katakana, i can read both quite well now and recognize all the characters but when i am writing them down i get a blank spot when switching between the two. Guess i just need to practice writing them down more? Any tips appreciated. Cheers.

yeah, practice is what you need. Actually, I still have trouble sometimes writing them, like you said I get a blank spot. However, reading is really easy and my reading speed is fast enough to do karaoke with lyrics in hiragana. :) It's probably easier to remember the words you'll be writing in katakana, so as to increase your writing speed, that's all I can think of.

Thanks for the reply. :-) I think i spent too much time with hiragana and its the katakana that is giving me more of a blank head. I will practice some more. Good luck with the singing career ;-)
