Unfortunatly my studying was interupted by some serious medical issues. I'm back now, and have to start all over. I feel like I'm holding myself back in first grade when everyone else is graduating from high School. I've managed to save all my incomming newsletters and everything else. So here I go. Any suggestions? Because I'm open for all the help I can get.

Welcome back! If I were you, I would practice going over everything I've learned so far like speaking the phrases you know and practicewriting and reading the characters. Then, go over the lessons, but not the entire thing, just when they're speaking it. I have put off learning my Japanese about the past 3 months or so and everything I suggested to you is what I did, and now I'm back on the path I left off of. For the alphabets, I buy some flash cards. That's what I'm thinking about doing sometime soon. I hope this helps!

It's OK! We all have life emergencies... although I'd probably still be studying Japanese in the hospital if it were me xD... (I'm just kidding)

Moving along, Welcome back, Don't feel bad for missing some time to practice Japanese. It happens, as long as you keep studying you'll learn new things and overall you'll prosper.

I sometimes have to force myself to take breaks from learning in order to rejuvenate my motivation. Burning out isn't a good idea so hence why I take these breaks. Just now I'm finishing up a 2 week vacation from Japanese... although that was more because I had so much homework to catch up on than anything...
