i plan on going to japan for college in the next two years or so and i just want to know how to start learning and if this works

Great to hear you're off to Japan soon. This Rocket Japanese course will allow you to familiarize yourself with everyday spoken Japanese through the Interactive Audio Course. Throughout the Audio lessons, there are topics that you will likely encounter while living in Japan - simple things from shopping at a YAOYA which is a local vegetable/fruit shop, to sending post at a post office - visiting a Japanese family's home - taking part in Japan's famous HANAMI - "cherry-blossom viewing". Also, with it are Language and Culture lessons which broaden your view of Japan's modern culture as well as introducing you to the Writing system (Hiragana/Katakana/Kanji).
