Hola, Maria. I was told by a native speaker of Spanish, that Diego has no English translation. Don, as well as Doña, are used with someone's first name and signify respect and a form of familiarity. When used formally, Don and Doña are used with complete names, such as: Don Ignacio Chavez de la Ortega, Doña Ana Cruz de la Flores.
