In the latest RS newsletter lesson on water, I have a concern. It is very good to warn against drinking tap water. HOWEVER, I have been to many places (for example St. Petersburg where one should avoid the ice as well. Giardia lamblia is endemic there. If you are really worried about water quality, shouldn't you also make sure your ice has been made ok?

Hello Gloonie, You are completely right, there are many things you have to worry about if the country’s water is not safe for travellers... even when you go to a restaurant for a salad, if the lettuce has been washed in tap water you run a risk as well... All the best. Mauricio.
