I have just recently purchased the downloadable version of Rocket Spanish. I have really enjoyed it; only one problem. My computer will play everything except the embedded audio clips in the pdf conversation course. I have Adobe Reader 8. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated!

1--Try Acrobat reader 7.09 2--Are you using Windows or Linux 3--Do you get any error messages. The new Acrobat reader 8 is a flop in my opinion. It requires you to have some libraries preinstalled . Antonio

I am using adobe 9.0 and when I click on the highlighted blue word (on the downloaded pdf file in the conversation book) there is no sound. How do you enable the sound? Do I need a different version of adobe?

[quo]*Quote from * azul I have just recently purchased the downloadable version of Rocket Spanish. I have really enjoyed it; only one problem. My computer will play everything except the embedded audio clips in the pdf conversation course. I have Adobe Reader 8. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated![/quo] I just tried to listen to the Conversation Course pdf book with Adobe Reader 8.1. The first time I clicked on a word that I was supposed to be able to hear, a box popped up that said "You have opened a document that contains Windows Built-In Player multimedia content. You can decide whether to play content now and also set options for what to do when you open this document in the future." There were two options--play once or play each time I open this document. I could also click on Cancel and not play it at all. I chose to have it play each time I opened the document. I then clicked on some words in the pdf file, and I heard them in Spanish. So apparently it will work with Acrobat Reader 8, or at least 8.1. I don't have Reader 9--as I recall, there were reasons I decided it would be a bad idea (I don't remember what those reasons were), and I chose not to upgrade, so I can't say anything about whether the Conversation Course book will work on version 9 of Acrobat Reader, but I'd be surprised if it didn't. Of course, you could always go back to version 8.1 or even, as Tony suggested, version 7. Hmmm...I just re-read your message. On my computer, the words that can be heard are in BLACK. The English, which cannot be heard, is in blue. Have they changed this in more recent versions (I downloaded my copy several years ago)?
