Rocket Spanish app for android phones

I have seen two different apps.for android phones.  One that can Access the dashboard and forum and one that cannot.  The one that cannot is available on google play.  I don´t  know where to find the other one.

As far as I know, there's just one Android app for RL. I understand that if you have a trial account, you wouldn't have access to the Forum or the other features... But it's just one app...

Now I’m really confused. I’m using Rocket Spanish Premium- Level 1.  The app that I downloaded from Google Play is Rocket Languages version 3.0.6.  This is the only Rocket Languages app that the Android Application Manager shows.  The screen shots for this app don’t show access to the forum or the dashboard.  The icon for the app is labeled Rocket Languages.

My wife, Aurora-cls, has another icon that is labeled Rocket Spanish.  The App manager does not see this icon.  This Icon can do everything that the Rocket Languages app can do.  Plus, it can access the Forum and the dash board. 
The difference in our set-ups is: I have Rocket Spanish Premium-Level 1.  She has Rocket Spanish Premium– Level 1, Rocket Spanish Premium Plus, and Rocket Spanish Platinum.  Could the Rocket Spanish icon be part of Rocket Spanish Premium Plus or Rocket Spanish Platinum?

The only thing I can think of, is that maybe, Aurora is using the mobile version of the course to access it, instead of the app. Currently the App doesn't have access to the forum or dashboard.  Could you please perhaps send us a screenshot of what Aurora sees on her device??

Is the Mobile version part of   Rocket Spanish Premium Plus or Rocket Spanish Platinum, or is it a separate product?

The mobile version is just the option to access to the RL site using your phone, you can log in and study just as if you were on your computer; the only difference is that I believe you cannot use Play It! and go through the module tests, but other than that, you have the same access as being on your computer. Once you log in, you can see all the courses you have purchased (Premium, Premium Plus and Platinum)...

It looks like what we are dealing with is the Mobile version of  the course.  The testing mode does not work and there appears to be some problems with the lesson mode.  However, It can access the Forums and add comments.  The reason that I thought that It was a second app in because Aurora's phone has a launch icon that sends you to the Rocket Langues Login. This Icon is not a standard app because the app manager cannot see it.  We don't know where it came from. I'll send you a copy of the screen shot with the launch icon

I replied to your e-mail.  Ticket ID is EAS-621-82956.  The screen shot attached is from Aurora’s device.   There are 2 Rocket Language Icons.  The one marked Rocket Spanish I call a launch icon.  I don't know its official name is.  It is not a standard app. It sends the user to the Rocket Language login web page.  We don’t know where it came from.
 
It would be helpful if I knew where to get the launch Icon and how to install it.
Using the Forum from you phone is a plus.

I reviewed the mobile version of the course.  There does not appear to be any problems with the code.  However it does lack some of the functionality of the computer program.  I noticed:

• The testing portion does not work
• The lesson portion does not have a microphone input.
• The forum is always in the “view all languages” mode.  There is no button to change it.  The forum comes up as Rocket Arabic.  To get to Rocket Spanish you have to scroll down
• To logon you have to go to two login screens.  The launch icon would simplify this process.

Despite these differences it provides functionality that the app does not.

In Conclusion
Marie has been helping me with this through email.  The thing that I have been calling a launch icon is a shortcut.  The short cut should be configured to access the web screen “members.rocketlanguages.com/access/”.  The way this works on an android phone (and I assume this will work the same way on an iphone) is to place the “members.rocketlanguages.com/access/” in the phone's web search engine.  When you arrive at this page, press the menu key.  Then select “create short cut".  This short cut will take you to the correct log-in page.

Wow! lots of discussions about my two different rocket Spanish icons in my smart phone. I don't know how I got them but I use them when my computer is not available.
