inlesson2.4 why do they interpret the word derecho as [ straight dos cuadras

We use the word "derecho" (with an "o" at the end) and "derecha". Derecha with an a will always mean "to the right". And derecho can either mean straight, or it can also mean "law" as in "Estoy en la escuela de derecho en la universidad"...Im in law school at the university. Eventough we have a word for "law" which is "ley" or "leyes" and you can also say you are styuding "leyes" instead of "derecho". Also we use "derecho" as in "You have the right to remain silent"...."Tienes el derecho de permanecer callado"..... So , it depends on the context...but when getting signals, derecho means walk straight forward....and derecha means you have to turn tho the right! Nos vemos pronto, buena suerte!
