Hola amigo, Dar: to give. Darselo, give it to him. Him is "se". Le lo does not work because of the la la rule.This could be said: se lo necesito dar. And I think for clarification you could add " el" after dar The Dorothy Richmond book: "Practice Makes Perfect Spanish Pronouns And Prepositions" is very helpful regarding this. And yes, you are right Rich...the "lo" at the end of the verb "Dar" gives us the clue about : to whom the verb is directed to and also the gender of this certain thing you are handing out...if the thing you are going to "dar" is femenine, as in pluma (pen)... "Mañana voy a darsela a el"..."Tomorrow im gonna give it to him"...if the noun is masculine , for example lápiz (pencil) it would be..."Mañana voy a darselo a el".... DONT WORRY it may sound difficult, but you would get it later, the main thing here is to , first, have an idea of what the phrase is trying to say and later you can work on the details....
