in lesson 6.0 the word nosotros [we] and estamos [we are] why would they not just say - estamos viniendo pronto.

I don't have a lesson 6.0. I can't find the passage you're referring to, so without context, that's a difficult question to answer.

It would be for emphasis. Either is correct. I too have not seen the passage.
