While every other verb I have practiced with in the past tense playing MegaVerbs is in the Pretérito perfecto, I believe the conjugation of Ser in the past tense in Megaverbs is actually in the Pretérito imperfecto. Was this intentional as Ir and Ser have identical conjugations in the Pretérito perfecto?

I have a related question. In Lesson 12.1 the imperfect "tu" form of estar is "eres". I have a book (501 Spanish Verbs) that says it's "eras". Am I misunderstanding something?

Sorry, I misunderstood. The imperfect is indeed "eras." But the example I was looking at (first quiz question) is in the present tense, not imperfect, so it's "eres."
