In lesson 3.3 the verb traer is used. It makes more sense to me (as an English person) to use llevar. Does this make sense to you?

Hola DebJay! "Traer" can be translasted as "to bring" but also can be used as other things, for example..."El hombre trae puesto un traje elegante"..."The man IS WEARING an elegant suit", also can be used as "having" something, for example..."El hombre trae un arma"..."the man has/holds a gun"...and some other examples, It really depends on which context are they using "traer"...can you write down the sentence please?... THe other thing is that , at least for me as a spanish speaking person, "traer" and "llevar" are not the exact verb, it is a little bit difficult to explain but i will do my best to do so... If you are at a party and you say to "Pedro is bringing us food and beer when he comes"...in this case you should use "traer"...."Pedro nos va a traer comida y cerveza cuando llegue/venga".... If , for example, you are not still on the party, and you are talking to Pedro , you could ask him "Pedro, are you bringing food and drinks to the party tonight?"....in this case the word would be "llevar"..."Pedro, vas a lllevar comida y cerveza a la fiesta en la noche?"... because "traer" is used only if you are "waiting" for something to come...wheter "llevar" means you are delivering or taking or bringing something....that is the difference.. I hope everything was clear, maybe with the exact example i can be more specific... Saludos desde México y mucha suerte!

Muchas gracias por la respuesta. La frase exactamente es "Bueno, necesitamos traer unos impermeables y un paraguas" saludos Debbie
