Hacer vs. Trabajar

James K1Mon, 24 Jan 2011 19:20:07 -0600
I have another one. What is the difference between Hacer and Trabajar and where would I use each?
Pascal PMon, 24 Jan 2011 19:37:29 -0600
Hacer: To do or to make.
Trabajar: To work.

Hacer is often used in idiomatic expressions, eg. hace sol. It is sunny.

Trabajar strictly means to work. Yo trabajo duro. I work hard.

Its quite a wide difference actually.

Hello, could you explain me the difference between conosco and saber?
Thank you.
Pascal PTue, 25 Jan 2011 22:14:08 -0600
Conocer means to know a person (or to be acquainted with), whereas saber means to know a fact/skill.

For example,

Yo lo conozco. I know him.

But:

Yo sé cocinar. I know how to cook.

Both saber and conocer are irregular verbs, so I would recommend searching their conjugations online.
