Hola,
In listening to the first few "Interactive Audio" lessons it sound as if the "da" is pronounced as if it was a "tha" with the “a” being soft - as in "ayuda"? Am I mis-hearing the dialogue?

From what I have always heard, especially when followed by a vowel, the "d" should have a very soft sound. Similar to the hard "th". There may be regional differences, this is just my 2 cents.
