I went to the Dominican Republic for a vacaction about a week ago. One phrase that was used a lot sounded like "eso es". I think it may have been slang. It sounded like it could mean great by the way it was said, but I'm just guessing. I'm learning spanish so I know some words but I'm not familiar with any words that may be used as slangs. Also, I have heard what sounds like "eso or esa" on some merengue songs. Just curious. Hopefully, someone knows. Broomsman

By itself, it literally means, "That's it" I've heard it said with exclamation to indicate, "that's it, you did good, great job."
