This seems like a word that should exist (e.g. to be fascinated with something) but I don't see it in a dictionary. I'm new to Spanish, so still trying to understand "verbse" usage.

Hola. Welcome to the forum. I think by "verbse" you are referring to *reflexive verbs*. The Rocket Spanish Beginner's Guide devotes all of section 6.3 to a discussion of these verbs. Do take a look.
I think the reason fascinar is not a reflexive verb is that one doesn't normally fascinate or adore oneself :) . You _can _say (as my dictionary does, in its example) *me fascinan Klee y Kandinsky* (I adore Klee and Kandinsky, or, more literally, Klee and Kandinsky fascinate me), but that's not reflexive.

Section 6.2 of the Beginner's Guide also briefly but specifically touches on the use of 'fascinar' also.
