I have a question about the use of the verb tocar in this lesson. Alejandra is talking about azafatas and she says "a mí me han tocado algunas bien pesadas".
What would the correct english translation of this sentence be? I have learned that tocar means to touch, to play (instrument), to ring and to be someone's turn, but none of these meanings seem to make sense here. I have seen other examples where tocar has been used in a similar context. Can you explain how tocar is being used here and give some other similar examples?

Hola Gatita,
The verb "tocar" has multi-meanings.
*Tocar* can be used as the subject of a noun representing something that is given to someone:
"A mí me han tocado algunas bien pesadas." - (I have been given some very heavy ones.)
Another example of the same usage would be:
"Les ha tocado un tiempo muy difícil." (You-all have been given a very rough time.)
