What is the fifference between "me acuerdo" and "recuerdo"? Is "me acuerdo" I remember and "recuerdo" I remember something?

Hello John, Me acuerdo is mostly used when you have forgotten something and then you remember it. This could be anything from remembering a child hood memory or were you left your keys the night before. Recuerdo I use it more when I'm telling a story about something that’s happened in the past... So Recuerdo is more like I recall and Me acuerdo is more like I remember. I hope that helps Mauricio.
