When giving your name, do you translate it to French? Should I say April or Avril?

Salut April,

It is completely up to you whether you would like people to call April or Avril. I find it is often easier for me if the names are changed to their French equivalents, especially if I'm speaking in French because I find it hard to mix the two accents (or say the English name with French intonation).

I hope this helps but again its completely up to you.

In Spain it was extremely difficult for the locals to pronounce Cheryl. Will this be a problem in France?

Probably the best language tool I've come across. Actually love it more than Rosetta Stone and Duolingo
