I just noticed that the place where the badge you've earned was
located, now has a circle that has the words "Points Goal 400".
What caused the icon change? It totally has me stumped, will
someone please tell me what happened.

It appears to be an attempt at a motivational tool. As you do
events that trigger points, the point show up immediately. I find
it helpful. Also, you can adjust  your daily point goal by
clicking on the pencil icon. If you want to see your badge, click
on your total score under the circle. There are always pros
and cons.  I expect we will see both soon.

I like the fact that the badge icon remains fixed in position as I
scroll so I always see how many points I have earned today.

Probably the best language tool I've come across. Actually love it more than Rosetta Stone and Duolingo
