I have encountered the German spelling 'gross' a number of times in the course. In both the internet and the Farlex online German dictionary and thesaurus, the spelling shown is 'groß'. As this course uses the Eszett where appropriate, I'm curious why you use the spelling 'gross'. Is this due to regional differences in Germany? Are both spellings acceptable in High German?
gross vs. groß

Hallo PaulS108,
thank you for your comment. The correct spelling is "groß". I will pass this on to the development team to have a look at. You would only find it spelled "gross" when the Eszett is not available (e.g. no German keyboard).
As a side note, Swiss German often uses "ss" instead of the Eszett, such as "die Strasse" instead of "die Straße".
Grüße
Julia

Here are a few phrases, not necessarily all of them.
Das Problem ist grösser als ich angenommen hatte.
Ich möchte einen Weisswein.
Die Frau überquerte die Strasse.

Hallo Julia,
I respond below with examples from the course in which "ß" was presented as "ss", whereas it appears that the Eszett would have been preferable:
Groß
Lesson 10.4, At the Gas Station
Also, wir können Ihnen einem Golf mit Seitenairbags und extra grossem Kofferraum anbeiten.
Lesson 13.3, Business Call
eine grosse Marketingkampagne
Lesson: German Humour
Das Problem ist grösser als ich angekommen hatte.
Straße
Lesson 12.8, German Tenses
Die Frau überquerte die Strasse.
Lesson 22.5, Read the Signs
Einbahnstrasse
Lesson: Transportation Information
die Strassenbahn
Weiß
Lesson: Let's Get Social
Ich möchte einen Weisswein.
Süß
Lesson: The Lowdown on Love
mein Süsser
Mäßig
Lesson: Transportation Information
Planmassige Ankunft
Heiß
Lesson 15.8, German Idioms
Weggehen wie heisse Semmeln
I hope that the above is helpful.
Grüße
Paul
