difficulty translating?

Ive been learning hindi and punjabi. There is a default vowel with consonants but it is not always spoken. This is making it difficult to pronounce some words correctly. Especially if you dont listen to the audio. For example subha dina is prounounced subh din. If you say it the way it looks the pronounciation is wrong. Also find articles at the end of some sentences and learned they are usually placed at the beginning

Hi Lise

yes its a common problem with new learners of the language. the best way to learn the language is to listen and read the words, for example, subha as such would be written by सुभा (subhā) but in actual sentence when saying subha dina ( good morning) it is शुभ दिन (śubha dina). the vowel sound in the latter case is absent when speaking.

Probably the best language tool I've come across. Actually love it more than Rosetta Stone and Duolingo
