Ciao a tutti! This is a very interesting topic. It's about the legend of the funding of Rome. Romolo and Remo , the founders of Rome, were twin brothers. There were the nephews of the king of Alba who was deposed by his brother. Their mother, supposed to be a virgin priestess, got pregnant by the God Mars. The uncle attempted to kill them thinking they could have God's powers. For this reason the babies were abandoned by the river Tiberio and been founded by the female wolf which brought them up. Everywhere in Rome you can find the statue showing the wolf with the two babies. It's the symbol of Rome. I love this story. Ciao
