Endearments Parents Call Their Children

Can you tell me some endearments parents call their children in Italian? (I will probably get it very wrong, but here is my attempt to ask a version of my question in Italian too.) Mi può dire che cosa genitori chiamano i loro figli con affetto?

Ciao Amanda, do you mean "darling", etc ? Every parent has got his different "nickname" of his/her kid. Here below few classical ones: darling = caro or cara princess =principessa angel = angelo little = piccolo or piccola puppy = cucciolo, cucciola star = stella little treasure = tesorino I hope this helps Ciao

Grazie Maria. That helps. Ma chiamo mia figlia "piccolina". Someone told me that was mostly used romantically. `E vero? Do mamme still call the children endearments after they are grown?

It depends on the families but "mamme" are always "mamme" :)))
