Feliz día de los Caídos

Dan-H24 May 25, 2015, 11:51 am
My instinct was to translate this as:

Día de la Comemorativa

But both Bing and Google like Día de los Caídos. Which, now that I think about it, is more to the point. We remember our fallen service people on this day.

Another possibility is "Día Conmemorativo", which is what Google
Translate came up with for me.  But that is not as direct as
saying los caidos = the fallen.

Robert: one of the things I really like about the Spanish language
is how to the point it can be. The Day of the Fallen is such a
poignant title.

Probably the best language tool I've come across. Actually love it more than Rosetta Stone and Duolingo
