Really like rocket portuguese, you can take it at your own pace but in situations you find yourself in when visiting the country. You are not learning pointless sentences like "the dog reads the book" etc
Having decided to learn Portuguese to impress and become more involved with my Brazilian friends, I chose Rocket languages. It's great! It's Brazilian Portuguese, so exactly what I wanted, and it is so easy to use either on my laptop at home or tablet during lunch at work.
I've tried a little with my friends and they've commented on my good pronunciation - all thanks to Rocket Languages. The way the language is introduced is intuitive and it sticks. Being able to record and listen back to your attempts really helps to improve pronunciation and help to retain vocabulary.
I'm not at the point where I can hold a conversation yet, but given time and Rocket Languages excellent approach I believe I'll be meeting my friends expectations now that they now I'm learning.

I like the way the lessons are structured and how they progress. It is also helpful to compare my pronunciation with the voice on the site.
I am a slow learner and have a problem hearing the words....by the time a sentence is finished, I may only be on the 3rd word!!! So pacing is very important for me.
We spend a few months of most years in Brazil, so I already speak a lot of Portuguese. I've never taken a formal course, however; learning has mostly been just from conversation. I hesitated to buy this program because I already speak so much, but I bought it because I know that I have lots of gaps to fill.
Surprise: It's helping so much! In a matter of days, I've corrected heaps of mistakes I didn't even realize I was making. I can only imagine how helpful this would be if I'd started out with a program like this. Better late than never!

Some pronunciations however can be very confusing. Is this Brazilian, not European, Portuguese?

I am a linguist, a teacher of foreign languages and a native speaker of Spanish. This platform is a good resource to add to one's learning tools and it is a very good way to keep the language alive. I was skeptical at first of this electronic platform, but then I became almost addict to it. It works if you put your heart and soul in acquiring your target language. Well done!
Es bueno, pero no tengo mucho dinero para comprarlo,lo recomiendo ampliamente, yo creo que serviria mucho para alguien que de verdad quiere aprender este o cualquier idioma, el precio se me hace muy elevado, estoy muy interesado pero si me hicieran un buen descuento por los tres niveles lo pensaria y probablemente me aceptarian, gracias. i like it but can't afford it at this time. thanks
Overall, Rocket Languages is, without a doubt, well worth the
price. The value for your money is the best. There really is not
a better foreign language program out there. I have tried others
as they do not match the quality of Rocket's.
Método sencillo, mide los avances y permite practicar sin límites, tanto la escritura, la escucha y la pronunciación. Es progresivo y va avanzando con casos prácticos de aplicación del idioma. Me ha gustado.
It is good for someone who knows nothing to be able to gain useful phrases and to practice the proper pronunciation. The material covers a good range of every day communication which is good if you are planning to use this for traveling.
Probably a good jump start to begin using the language right away.
