Rocket Russian — Wisconsin , United States
I got Rocket Russian about a year ago because I wanted to learn it since Russian was my first language but I moved to U.S. when I was 8 years old. I also have speech deficit which makes it harder for a person like me to relearn a language as hard as Russian.
Rocket Japanese — West Jordan, UT , United States
This is everything I was searching for in a beginner's language course; writing, speaking, listening, reading, and most importantly, a one-on-one experience. I was most worried that I wouldn't get the right kind of instruction without a teacher or professor, but the interactive audio lessons are exactly that. Everything is explained clearly and concisely, with a bit of humor to keep you attentive. Something I wasn't aware of or expecting were the typing lessons, which have definitely assisted my comprehension of the Japanese keyboard system. I know this will last me a while, and I can always redo the earlier lessons to keep myself refreshed.
Rocket Spanish — Sunset Utah , United States
I love Rocket Spanish. I've tried Duolingo, it was free, but It got to the point where they were teaching things like "The bird watched the game on TV" and "The cows cleaned the farm yesterday". I also took level one of Destinos, which a story you followed on video, and had a text book and workbook for learning other vocabulary. It was good, but I feel Rocket Spanish is a better fit for me.
Rocket Spanish — Metro Manila , Philippines
This is the most helpful app and course I've tried among all the other apps. The only glitch I found is the hear it, say it part where it does not recognize some of my inputs but overall, the app is great.
Rocket French — Ireland
The app on iPhone doesn’t work property. After I email the customer service for a few days, the problem still has not been solved. The app is not as good as the desktop version., which is a shame. The responses from customer service seem slow. The audio lessons are interesting but the culture and language don’t make me feel interested about learning. There are definitely things that require improvement.
Rocket French — Córdoba , Argentina
No soy angloparlante nativo, tengo un nivel de inglés intermedio, sin embargo puedo entender perfectamente el curso (dictado en Inglés). El método es muy entretenido, combina varias cosas buenas que ví en otros cursos, y sin darte cuenta terminás la unidad sabiendo expresarte un poco más y de tal manera que las frases quedan dando vueltas en tu cabeza, que con un poco de práctica se hacen naturales (vienen instantáneamente cuando las necesitas).
Rocket Spanish — Pomy , Switzerland
The training is very good with practical everyday phrases to learn and repeat whenever I have the time.
The voice recognition in the "hear it, say it" becomes either deaf or impaired of hearing even though the answers are correct, as the software refuses to recognise my pronunciation.
Rocket Chinese — Australia
The interactive audio is excellent however I struggle with the writing component. I am not sure what would be the best way to learn written Chinese over the internet, but I know I struggle with the way it has been presented to me here. However I purchased this product to learn the spoken language which it is great to learn from.
Rocket Spanish — longwood, FL , United States
I am so grateful for this because I have family friends who speaks Spanish to each other and I feel uneducated. But now, I can maintain a conversation and it feels great to know that we can communicate with each other. This program has helped me more than any teacher I had in my high school and I wish I had something like this in my time.
Rocket Chinese — United States
The Rocket Chinese course is comprehensive and contains a good variety of tools. There are a couple negatives though. The main one is that the male voice actor's pronunciation is not very good. That's a huge drawback when you're trying to learn to pronounce a language correctly. Offline use on Android is fairly minimal. It's painful to enter pinyin for exercises that use it, for instance you can't just enter dan1cheng2, you need to find a way to enter dānchéng.
