Thanks a lot for this great course for beginners. It was a real step forward in Spanish. Before going to Malaga to learn Spanish in 2010 I had made some basic things and read through first topics using Rocket Spanish but finally I knew enough to get level A2 at Malaga University! Moreover the materials were extremely beneficial for my everyday life in Spain especially when I just arrived there. It is time to go forward but now I'm sure in my success because I have a solid background due to your course. Muchas gracias! Viva your team!!!!!
The Rocket Italian Premium level is great for learning basic travel phrases. The voice recognition software works very well and if you use all the tools they provide for you regularly you'll definitely feel comfortable pulling out Italian phrases when you need them. I do like to listen to the audio lessons several times though. Also I with there was more variety in the testing and practice. An exercise where the student is given a completely new sentence that they have to give back in Italian would be really helpful.
I found the 'rocket record' function very useful once I had worked out how to keep the recording function in play (changed my search engine to google chrome from firefox as the flashplayer kept crashing. I love the fact that the lessons go straight into practising sentences and phrases in French, now I just have to be disciplined enough to do a little everyday.
I found the first level excellent. Both presenters were extremely clear. I'm on to the intermediate course now though and finding it much tougher. It's the same female presenter and she's excellent, but the male presenter in this course is really difficult to understand, pronouncing words considerably differently from the original. They also leave way too little time to repeat the phrases in this one on the first attempt. The second seems to be ok. I've timed the first and in a lot of cases they leave less time than it took for them to say it, so hopeless for me as a beginner! A bit pricey, but overall it seems to be working.
Rocket Italian — London , United Kingdom
It took me quite a long time to decide to take the plunge and buy a language course. Ive only ever tried free apps like Duolingo which is also a good program. But i can tell you Rocket Italian so far has exceeded my expectation. I have just finished the first section. I have become quite addicted to the program. The numerous forms of self testing really does help it stick. Im not perfect and I did have to rerun the last two sessions three times for it to stick but believe me.
Rocket German — kaiserslautern
This is a great course, and I really love the way you are taught, with voice audio and all the tools for you to use. I am speechless but thrilled that I purchased this course, looking forwarded to finishing the course.
Good blend of useful phrases, vocabulary, cultural lessons, and written lessons. Best variety of learning tools (audio, student recorded audio vs example, interactive tests, reading, etc...) compared to what I've seen in Rosetta Stone or Pimsleur. No pressure 6 day trial gives you a good opportunity to preview the product. Details of what you receive a little confusing and the price is borderline high although competitive. Will be up to individual if you get your money's worth but the substance is there to take advantage.
Rocket Chinese — ADDIS ABABA
I have so many things to say about Rocket Chinese I don't know where to start. How about the beginning...
I have been interested in learning Chinese for a year now. I have five programs, three I obtained for free and two I paid for. Of the three I found for free, one came from my local library, I didn't feel bad about making a copy because they are public domain, two I downloaded from the Internet and there was no charge.
Rocket French — NSW
A very interesting and innovative way to learn the language its a lot of fun doing it and with practice and a little dertermination most everyone could master it I think.
Lots of things to learn as well there are other things to do on the site Thank you
Rocket Korean — NC , United States
I think that it is a very helpful place to start if you are just starting to learn Korean, or if you just want to learn the basics to get you trough if you are going to visit Korea. I like how they actually test you and you can choose between Easy, Medium, and Hard in the Rocket Record. I find this very helpful since the harder it makes it for you to pronounce it well the better off you are, I myself have gone for the medium not sure if Hard is for me, I struggle a little in the medium level so I´ll probably use it on that level for a while.
