Rocket Russian — Brisbane , Australia
This approach to tackling Russian is exactly what I needed. I started the language with textbooks and grammar and only managed to frustrate myself. Since starting Rocket Russian, I've seen massive improvement in my listening and speaking abilities and I couldn't be more motivated to keep learning! It's brilliant!
Rocket Chinese — United States
The price can't be beat! I especially enjoy that I control what and when I want to focus on for my study sessions. The interactive audio sessions actually helps me to think in the target language. I'm having problems with the speech recognition and will likely need to contact tech support; however, the first few hours into the course and I'm enjoying what I received for the price.

Rosetta Stone and several other courses, all picture oriented, were getting me nowhere. I'm not an infant and no longer learn is such an inefficient manner. Rocket is much better. I'm an adult- just tell me what the words mean. Guessing at what pictures are trying to tell me, not to mention deciphering sentence structure and conjugation that way is not fun!
Rocket Italian — Reading , United Kingdom
Having got to the end of my tree in Duolingo, I was looking for something more structured that could take me to the next level. Stumbled across Rocket Languages on the internet and decided to take a chance on the free trial to see what it was like.
Overall impressions so far are very good - the course is much more in depth, and uses real people to deliver the lessons and caters for different learning styles. The points/badges system is useful for keeping up motivation, the the weekly "Rocket Fuel" emails are tailored to here you are in the course. While more expensive than Duo (i.e. not free!), I have so far found it to be very helpful - and have jumped in to the paid for version with both feet. Despite having a fairly good knowledge of some words though Duo, I have found that even in Module 1 of Rocket I am learning things that I simply haven't covered previously. For me, the existence of an iOS app is also a key selling point, as I am rarely in front of a computer with a microphone (which is critically important if you want your attempts at speaking rated). This also lets you get in a bit of studying whenever and wherever you want. I do think that the app still needs a little more attention, but is good enough for now and I have been impressed with some fairly rapid responses from the support team. In summary - I personally would recommend Rocket Languages, and I hope to stick with it for a long time to come!
Rocket Russian — Chicago, IL , United States
I have a hard time finding Russian classes in my area and in-person tutoring services cost $40/session. No thanks. After trying more memorized-based programs, I stumbled across Rocket Russian and it's like a class that I can control at my own pace! It's challenging, full of information, and is one of the first programs that has me really speaking the language.
I have recommended Rocket Languages to a few of my friends and many are shocked at how much there is on the site. I am moving at a slow pace but do not feel rushed - my favorite part of the program. Worth the price! Trust me!
Rocket Arabic — Potomac, MD , United States
This is an excellent program, in my opinion better than the comparable Pimsleur product, because it makes an attempt to explain the grammar. The dialogues are well spoken and practical. The main shortcoming is that there is no follow-up program. We need to have at least a Rocket Arabic 2 and preferably a 3 as well. Otherwise, there is a bit of a feeling of being abandoned at the start of the journey.
Rocket Spanish — United Kingdom
I have always considered myself rubbish at languages. Always had difficulty remembering sentence structure, verbs etc. Now having just retired I decided to give it one more go. I tried several free taster sessions from other well known language sites, but nothing left me with as much enthusiasm to proceed as Rocket Spanish. The lessons are fun to participate in. There are many different aspects to the course, including culture & travel assistance, a survival kit (all those little essentials that you may think you will never need, but always do) and lots of hints and tips to make remembering easier. I love the interactive flash cards. I am a complete beginner, to the course but am finding it easy to understand if not always easy to pronounce. I know that I can return to the problem words and phrases again in my own time. It is by far the best course I have found, placing the conversations into everyday situations and I look forward to my lessons.
Rocket German — United States
I've tried many language learning softwares and nothing compares to Rocket Language. Good for the price and for the most part it doesn't take that much time out of my day. It helps me retain by building on the lessons before. All that AND it's done in a conversational manner, because you know, when you learn a language you want to converse in it. I love Rocket Languages and I've become a sort of an apologist for them since starting!
Rocket Italian — Nottingham
I have a very busy life style. Working away a lot all over the UK. My mum's side of the family were from Italy. I've had the desire to learn Italian for this reason and also I plan to honeymoon there in 2018. Rocket Italian is great because I can download lessons and then when doing a long drive a can listen to the lesson.
It's a well organized website with interesting features that helped making learning more fun and interesting. I can say that the content is suitable for anyone looking to learn about japanease culture and language. The excercises are also good so learners must take their time practicing if they want to improve their mastery level.
