Rocket French — DODOMA
I heartily accept the work of the Rocket Language team, because I have gained a rapid and great advancement in the French Language though it 's less than a six-day period since I discovered and started to use this golden chance of learning the language which has been as day-dream for to understand it. Before I got the laptop I currently posses the environment was not friendly to me in learning this Foreign language through the most comprehensive Rocket Languages Program. I absolutely promise to be the permanent member of the site for I find it very helpful to me as a beginner to a new language (French). I have not yet completed the course, but I solely recommend the Program to anyone else who finds a comprehensive and less time consuming program for self learning. Living and working in France is My comforting dream. Keep it up Rocket Languages Team, you are the most wanted and helpful tool in self-learning of the Foreign Language.
Rocket Japanese — Estepona
Enjoy learning it, Very good because you can always return to difficult parts. Had to stop for a while because of moving my home, but it was easy to pick up. From now on, I'll regularly continue. The target is learning the language. Unfortunately, my computer does not allow voice recording. I hope that this does not influence the study results.
Rocket Japanese — Karnataka
Hi, Learning from Rocket Japanese is easy and fast and one gets to know the real feel also because of the conversations. However, as you can understand that any study without aim is worthless. I would suggest that you add more study material which is matchable to the quality of questions to the JLPT levels. This will convince more and more users to join your course and also give a benchmark for them to rate them against a real life test or hurdle.
Rocket Japanese — United States
I've been using Rocket Japanese for a couple of years, and I honestly never thought I'd be able to speak as much Japanese as I can now- let alone any!
Each lesson is fun and the cast of different instructors across the courses make it enjoyable to learn the language, which is a great help especially if you have a busy lifestyle. It's great how the interactive audio courses put what you're learning into context, and then the language & culture lessons go into more detail on what you've learnt from those lessons, as it means you're revisiting what you've learnt before to keep it in your memory. The culture lessons are a big bonus with Rocket Languages, because it means you're learning about the culture and the way of life in the country that you're learning the language of, which helps to understand some of the countries customs, which in Japan's case can be quite 'different' sometimes! I can't recommend Rocket Japanese enough; it really has changed my life for the better and opened up new paths for me to take in the future. Thank you Rocket Languages!
Rocket Spanish — Taunton , United Kingdom
Great course and I have learnt a great deal. My only negative comment is that the course so far (nearly finished level 1) does not give enough teaching on putting the language together, rather it teaches phrases. I am trying to learn the language as I now live in Spain and trying to learn the language.

I have been learning French for the last 10 years using a variety of methods including books and Rosetta Stone. I felt I was not progressing very well and nothing stuck which hindered my wanting to continue to learn. However, I found this site and tried the trial version and wow, just wow. In the space of a day I had learnt and memorised more French than I had in the 10 years of trying alternative methods. I have since bought the full version and I have no regrets whatsoever. The content is great and I love how you get to recite the same core content through all methods of communication (reading, writing, listening and speaking). I am already competitive on the leader-boards and I cannot wait to be able to use what I have learnt so far with my French pen-pal!
Rocket Spanish — Saitama , Japan
I am generally very happy with the spoken feedback and the quality of the instruction of Spanish.
Unfortunately often my mic fails to pick up my spoken answer correctly. I bought a special mic for my iPhone and I hope that the mic performance will improve. However, I need to review and practice hard points such as writing with the correct accent marks. Doing the harder parts of lessons several times is helpful. I am very pleased with being able to download lesson lectures. Then I can practice away from the computer. This is very helpful. One problematic lesson: In Module one of Rocket Spanish, there is one lesson that is poorly designed. Presently I am doing the alphabet. Why is there no spoken practice of the alphabet? Words are presented as a vocabulary list to be memorized. How useless. ! But there is no testing or practice of spelling which is the object of the lesson. This pointless presentation of the alphabet is unlike the quality of other lessons. I wish it could be redone. Also, in this lesson it is argued that the alphabet is related to learning the correct pronunciation of Spanish. How knowing the pronunciation of letters such as j, z, h, w is helpful for pronunciation totally escapes my understanding. Anyway, knowing how to spell is important, but this is not practiced in the lesson. What a waste! I have never received an answer to emails that I have sent concerning Rocket Spanish. It is amazing that I am even doing the lesson given the many problems that I have had getting it to work on my iPhone and computer.
Rocket Russian — Malta
Very user friendly and makes it very easy to learn. It helps make the learning experience a joy to follow. The only glitch is that sometimes it doesn't recognise my pronunciation although I know that it's right but that is a very minor problem on my part. Wish the price was a bit lower but I'm happy with it.
Rocket Japanese — United States
My husband and I watch a lot of Japanese television like anime and some regular TV shows and thought how awesome it would be to actually be able to understand what the characters are saying without having to read subtitles. We also would like to take a trip to Japan in the future. We were both reluctant to start learning Japanese because we've heard how difficult it can be and that it takes years to become just somewhat fluent. But, we decided to take the leap and signed up for several Japanese learning tools. We started with Rosetta Stone and after 2 days of being on the trial version, we cancelled it because it wasn't working for us. We weren't retaining anything. Then, we found Rocket Japanese and we couldn't believe that we were actually able to have a short conversation after just 2 days!! Rocket Japanese is the easiest and most intuitive program out there for learning Japanese. It's so much fun and so interesting that I spend hours doing the lessons without realizing that much time had passed. I'd recommend Rocket Languages to everyone trying to learn a new language. Arigatō to the creators of this program, I am forever grateful to have this resource!
Rocket German — United States
This could easily be a 5 star program, but there are enough poor choices by the designers that make it less valueable or frustrating to use that I am being generous to give this 3 stars. The bottom line is that it works, and it did better for me than when I used Rosetta Stone to learn another language.
I have been using this program for 10 months and have had 3 visits to Germany during this time related to work. This is where I think the program isn't good: 1. This program stresses in the informal ways of addressing people. Germans, especially in business, use the formal case (Sie not Du). 2. The program doesn't teach any language rules, rather just provides example after example such as how to conjugate a verb. 3. THe most frustrating part is that the program tries to inculcate easy words (Ja, Nein), and sometimes not useful words like Wunderbar constantly, but doesn't stress words that are important to know such as to want, to like, to take, to need. If someone can't get Ja and Nein correct after the third lesson, then they need to quit. 4. The reason #3 is so aggravating is that for those of us that have to learn at work as part of our job, there can be 60+questions for each exercise in a lesson, and there are 5 exercises for each lesson. This makes a lesson take 2+ hours if you want to finish it completely, and when you translate Wunderbar and sehr gut for the 500th time you realize this program is wasting your time. 5. Everything requires a keyboard click. In some exercises you can use the keyboard to avoid clicking, but in others where you must type then you have to click the mouse constantly. To make it better, address 1-5, and consider adding a random question practice session. This would randomly bring-up a problem from any completed lesson and any completed exercise. This would be the best way to review as it would require students to recall what they learned in previous lessons and not just the one they finished. No score, no limited amount of questions, just continually popping up new questions and checking the student's answer. Also, look at DuLingo app. There you have the ability to slow down an audio statement to translate it. THere are times the audio is too fast to easily translate it. Also a FF 15seconds or rewind 15 second button would be helpful (especially for iPhone or Apple watch) when listening to lessons...the current FF and Rewind setting isn't good. Also, everyone reading the reviews should know that reviewers are offered $10 cash back if they write a review. I think this leads to all the glowing reviews because people want the money now and haven't used the product for a long time to start discovering where it needs to be improved. With all that said, I don't have regrets about buying this and it has helped me when I am in Germany. I think it is better than RS because it emphasizes learning via listening and speaking as opposed to writing. But with the current design, I won't tell my company that this is the best learning program out there.
