The organization of material, and its presentation are great. There is one technical flaw, however, and it is major, and inexcusable in this very expensive app. In neither the Lesson or the Conversation can you stop or go back to something that you are not sure of. In learning a language, there are ALWAYS situations where something specific is not clear and you need to confirm or correct what you just heard.

I am interested in learning languages.I am keen to visit to Japan.Hopefully I am coming to Japan few months later.I wish to meet Japanese people and culture.I have been learning your language for a year with different teaching methods. But I found that Rocket Languages is easy, convenient, effortless and less time consuming.Especially I like the points and badge system which make me motivated. On top of that, it makes me fun and relaxed .As I am working in government service I have limited time but I can go by my own pace whenever I have time.Thank you very much for your teaching materials.I would recommend your course to others .
Rocket Chinese — New Zealand
I find there is generally too much preamble getting into each dialogue - too much from the English guy especially. Ironically, he seems to be talking as though adressing an ESOl class . However, as a native speaker, I find his delivery and Uk accent quite amateurish. E.g he says "wiv" instead of " with" etc. just irritating. Also, I am disappointed that he is used in dialogues when his Mandarin accent is not spot-on. Just model the genuine accent by using a Chinese speaker for each dialogue. Also, in the 2nd Premium pack, the upgrade, I wouldn't have bothered buying it had I known it involved a module devoted to planning a wedding - relevant to about 5% at best of your the average audience.

Definitely helpful to hear native Koreans speaking and the forms of testing made sure that i remember what i learned in the lesson. I would recommend this site to anyone who wants to practice their pronunciation. The site is very organized and easy to navigate. The tools are very useful. All in all, this is a good site.

The voice recognition works pretty well. It struggles with very short sounds, but overall very good. I've used other programs that ask you to speak the answers, but the pronunciation analysis makes me try much harder to say each response out loud.
The romaji is good for beginners, but already know hiragana and katakana, so the romaji is very distracting. I wish there was an option to turn off romaji so I can practice reading. --Moderators note: The romanized version of the phrases can be toggled on/off under your profile.--

I really like the format on the website. And I really like that it has a mobile app. However I travel a lot and the time I have most available to practice Chinese is when I am on a plane. You can download the MP3 files but I really wish the APP would allow you to cache the sections you are working on so they worked on a plane. Overall I think it is a good value. and I like the program but I just wish it was more tailored to working off line.
Rocket Spanish has truly helped me have a better life because my boyfriend is Mexican and we would argue because of not being able to communicate. I'm so happy now and so is my boyfriend, now husband. Thanks rocket Spanish. Pamela Roach

So far I love it! I have tried rosetta stone, pimsleur, living languages etc. the rocket languages program is the best by far. I love that it has listening to native speakers and also writing and lots of quizzes.
Rocket Spanish — Australia
I like the format and emphasis on spoken language in the Rocket languages online courses. However, I was disappointed in Rocket Spanish because it is totally geared towards younger travellers going to South America, whereas I am an older person spending a few weeks in Spain. There was very little clear advice as to differences in pronunciation, grammar or vocabulary for the language as spoken in Spain - just occasional references.
One major flaw, which is very frustrating. That is the speech recognition software is of poor quality. I do not know why this was not pretested better. But when saying the same words the same way results in a much higher score there has to be a problem. I listen to my voice played back, and it sounds much more like the Russian speaker's voice than the guess printed by the software. Often with time and no changes necessary it will register 100%.
