Conversation starters in Spanish

As well as developing a strong vocabulary, it is just as important to learn phrases and language structures that will help you to communicate and to have meaningful conversations. There are a whole range of conversation starters coming your way in this lesson, but once you have learned the questions here, why not try to think of your own responses to them? You can put to use a lot of the vocabulary from previous lessons in order to create your answers. You might even be able to think of some extra conversation starters of your own to add to the mix – get creative.

Have you noticed how Spanish questions use an upside down question mark at the beginning of the sentence as well as at the end? If you are writing in Spanish, then don’t forget to add the extra punctuation at the beginning in order to look more accurate. On the other hand, seek out as many opportunities as you can to speak Spanish and you will become fluent much faster.
