this is absolutely great! I would recommend this for young beginner's that need to learn any language they want to learn. No memorizing no remembering just listing. If you want to learn a language but don't want stuff like Duolingo or YouTube videos or Mango, just try this website and give it a shot, if you have phoenix library just get a card to access to this Rocket language learning site. What are you waiting for? Let's get talking! 😄

Focused on translation rather than immersion.
People with low auditory short term memory will struggle once passed level 1.
Not ordered in a method that feels progressive for the skills you obtain. (you will hit a wall)
Repetitive program, and uninteresting. You could say it is a bit of a bag drive.

The speech recognition SUCKS!! I have a professional microphone installed and TOO many times my speech is not recognized. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!

Lessons are slow and don't progress in an order that works when you are studying a language -- customer service is non responsive to requests to cancel membership

I tried the intro lesson, and it wasn't enjoyable. When practicing pronunciation, I would fail to pronounce a word, but I would get 100%. I have a good microphone, but I had to yell to get half of what was said recorded. When it did show, I said 100% the playback would only have recorded 50% of what I said. I was yelling most of the time, which was really irritating. I practiced writing skills without knowing special characters, so I got most of the words wrong, although I had all the necessary letters.
I absolutely hated yelling into the microphone and then hearing a partial version of what I had yelled. So far, I hate Rocket Spanish. I completed the lessons, and if not for the fact that I had heard many of the basic words in the past, I would not have remembered most of what I learned. Thankfully, I am on a trial. Thank you, Rocket, for the trial period. I will continue the trial one more time and then give Babbel a try, trusting their money-back guarantee..
