Bonjour tout le monde

As part of our drive to make our blog more accessible and easier for everyone to comment on, we have moved it here!

The old blog can still be accessed here; https://www.rocketlanguages.com/blog

This new blog will be more regularly updated with all the things happening with;

Rocket Languages
Language learning trends and developments
Technological advances with e-learning
Tips and techniques to get the most out of your language study time

And we will use it as a forum for members to practice their language skills!

To that end let's get started right now.

Every week or two I will present a topic for you all to write about in the language that you are learning. The idea being that we can keep building on everyones ideas and help each other along the path to mastery!

The first thing I want you to tell me about is "Ton meilleur ami" or "Your best friend". Remember, even though I wrote that in French, this is for all languages.

Can you tell me things like;

Where your best friend lives?
Their name?
Are they tall, short?

Anything at all!

We have plenty of knowledgeable tutors and fellow forum members that will help critiquing your responses!

Ma meilleure amie s'appelle Justine. Elle est francaise. Elle est grande pour une femme mais je suis plus grand d'elle. Quand je l'ai recontrée, j'ai commencé apprendre le francais. J'apprend le francais depuis trois ans, mais j'ai beaucoup plus d'apprendre.

Mis mejores amigos son mis padres. Viven en Florida no muy lejos de la playa. Trato de verlos dos veces al año. Los visitaría con más frecuencia si no trabajara en un país lejano. Mi padre es un poco reservado y mi madre muy extravertida. Son muy simpáticos y tienen muchos amigos en el área donde están.

*You could also use the expression "Pero, ella vive a tres horas de mí." "A tres horas de donde yo estoy." "A tres horas de distancia", etc...

*I see what you tried to say with "entonces"; the meaning of "then" in Spanish can also mean "luego".

*You could also say "Él es catorce años menor que yo."
Some people write letter "ñ" as "gn"; you can also use the combination ALT+164

**I am not sure about what you meant with "cerca"; do you mean that the mountain is near you? Or is it that you're planning to go near next week?
