女儿 (daughter - Nǚ ér) that is 儿化 (rhotic) like: nǚr, right? Not separately pronounced characters..?

What is the difference between 儿 and 子 meaning-wise?

When put together these two characters definitely mean son, but when seperate they could mean different things. 儿 among other things is used as a suffix on spoken words which can change meaning. 子 means many other things too. A dictionary could give you some definitions for these.
