How do you say "I want a/some..." (masculine vs. feminine noun)? For example, I want some coffee vs. I want a cold drink.

Salut, I want some coffee can be translated as Je veux du café I want a cold drink is translated as Je veux une boisson rafraichissante I want a glass of wine is translated as Je veux un verre de vin When a quantity is not specific you use "du" but when it is specific "un" or "une" is used. I hope that helps. Claire
