Lesson 7.5

Je dépense deux cents euros en produits alimentaires et quarante cinq euros en transport.
I spend 200 euros on food and 45 euros on transportation.
Je dépense ‍‍200‍‍ ‍‍€‍‍ e‍‍n produits alimentaires et ‍‍45‍‍ ‍‍h‍‍eur‍‍e‍‍s en transport‍

The 3rd line is the transcription of my repetition of the 1st line. Ignore the misunderstood euros being written as heures - the reason for notifying this is that it is one example (of many throughout the course) where the program marks in red as incorrect a numerical transcription that is exactly the same as the word required. This is despite the fact that it is the program that 'decides' to put a number in there in the first place.  Perhaps there could be an easier system to notify these types on 'incorrect errors' directly from the lessons when they occur. For example, a 'report this answer' button, with a simple list of possible errors to draw to attention?

Salut MCK !

Thank you for pointing this voice recognition problem out to us, and for the suggestion of the "error report" button - I will pass that on to the technical team to look into.

We are aware of the issue with the voice recognition not picking up numbers properly and apologize for the inconvenience and frustration that this must cause! Our technical team is still trying to find a blanket solution that will work across all of our courses; however, in the meantime, manual fixes are being implemented on problem phrases to try to clear this up as much as possible.
I have tried the voice recognition for the phrase that you mention and am unable to replicate the issue with this one; I have ensured that a manual fix has been added that should take care of it. Would you be able to try this phrase again and see if it is working for you now? It might help to try to enunciate the second euros as much as you can - it seems that when the voice recognition doesn't recognize one word in a sentence that involves a number, it will mark the number as wrong as well. So it may be that the voice recognition hearing heures is actually the source of the problem here.

Again, our apologies for the difficulties with this aspect of the feature! Do let me know how this goes for you when you try it again.
